Meliá Opens Five-Star Aurea Nha Trang Resort on Vietnam’s South-Central Coast

Tropical beach resort with palm trees along the Vietnamese coast

Meliá Hotels International opened its newest Vietnam property, Meliá Aurea Nha Trang, on August 12, marking the Spanish group’s first Meliá Collection hotel in the country. The 207-room, five-star oceanfront resort sits about 15 minutes from central Nha Trang on Vietnam’s south-central coast.

The resort is positioned as “the art of living by the ocean,” blending Mediterranean design sensibilities with Spanish hospitality touches. Its all-day restaurant, Ciao Chào, pairs Italian cooking technique with Vietnamese rice-based traditions, while the O’LULA Pool Club anchors the property’s waterfront social scene.

Guest amenities include direct beach access, coastal walking paths, a full fitness center, a Kidsdom club for families, and a YHI Spa built around Champa heritage rituals drawn from the region’s history. The property adds to Meliá’s growing footprint of premium and luxury hotels across Vietnam.

The opening comes as Nha Trang continues to build out its resort infrastructure to capture rising demand from both domestic Vietnamese travelers and international visitors drawn to the coastal city’s beaches and diving sites.
