Sunset Hospitality Opens Casa Mett Sitges, a New Five-Star Boutique Hotel on Spain’s Coast

Sunset Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle division of Sunset Hospitality Group, has opened Casa Mett Sitges, the first property in its new Casa Mett brand. The relaxed five-star hotel spans five historic villas, entertaining spaces and an expansive garden just steps from the Mediterranean and close to the center of Sitges, on Catalonia’s coast southwest of Barcelona.

The property comprises 38 rooms and suites that blend 19th-century architectural character with contemporary interiors, located roughly 100 meters from the beach. The result of a comprehensive rehabilitation of a protected architectural complex, the project represents a 20 million euro investment by Sunset Hospitality Group in the historic buildings.

Amenities include an outdoor resort pool, a wellness area with three treatment rooms, and two distinct dining concepts: Balera, a seaside restaurant with Italian-inspired cuisine, and El Bar de Lola, a Spanish-Mediterranean spot serving tapas and cocktails designed to accompany Sitges’ well-known sunsets over the water.

Casa Mett Sitges is the debut property for the Casa Mett brand and joins Sunset Hospitality’s broader Catalonia portfolio alongside the recently reopened Gran Hotel La Florida and METT Barcelona. The opening adds another boutique option to Sitges, a coastal town increasingly drawing travelers seeking an alternative base near Barcelona.
