Universal Orlando Found a Way to Make Epic Universe Cheaper

Universal Orlando Resort has introduced a limited-time ticket that bundles all three of its Florida theme parks into a single three-day admission, with pricing that starts at roughly $105.43 a day including tax. Called the Three-Day One Day Per Park Promo Ticket, it covers Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Epic Universe, the resort’s newest gate. Until now, adding Epic Universe to a trip generally meant paying a separate premium, and the new ticket is the clearest signal yet that Universal is willing to discount access to its flagship park in order to fill the shoulder season.

The offer comes in two shapes. The base version gives one day of admission at each of the three parks, in any order. The park-to-park upgrade lets guests hop freely between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure across two days, then spend a third dedicated day inside Epic Universe. Either way, the three days of admission must be used within a seven-day window, so the ticket rewards travelers who are already planning a longer Orlando stay rather than a weekend dash.

Universal is also letting the promo stack with its lodging deals, which is where the real savings sit. The resort is currently advertising up to 30% off stays of five nights or more at its own hotels this winter, and up to $300 off a vacation package that pairs a park-to-park ticket with a hotel stay of more than two nights. Florida residents can get the per-day rate down further still, and the ticket is sold online only rather than at the front gate.

The timing is not accidental. Epic Universe opened to enormous crowds and premium pricing, and the autumn and winter months are when Orlando traditionally has to work hardest for visitors. Discounting a headline park this early in its life is a competitive move as much as a promotional one, with Walt Disney World a short drive away and both resorts chasing the same multi-day family booking. Travelers who have been waiting for the Epic Universe premium to soften now have a reason to look again.
