Half of Carnival’s Fleet Now Offers a Place to Gamble Without Smoke

Carnival has confirmed which of its ships offer non-smoking casino spaces. Brand ambassador John Heald posted the list on Facebook on October 6, and Cruise Hive reports it covers 15 ships, about half the fleet. That is up from 10 ships in May 2024. The article’s own summary line says 14, so the exact count is worth checking against the line’s website before booking.

The named ships are Carnival Breeze, Celebration, Conquest, Dream, Firenze, Glory, Jubilee, Magic, Panorama, Venezia, Vista and Mardi Gras, sailing from ports including Galveston, Miami, Long Beach and Port Canaveral. Heald also said any ship sailing from Australia will have a non-smoking casino, which adds Carnival Adventure, Carnival Encounter and Carnival Luminosa.

Homeports are changing, so the list will move with the ships. Carnival Dream shifts to New Orleans from May 2027. Carnival Firenze moves to Miami from February 2027, then New York in May and Port Canaveral in November. Carnival Venezia heads to Miami in May 2027. Cruise Hive notes it is unclear whether Luminosa keeps its non-smoking casino after moving to San Francisco in April.

Not everyone is satisfied. Some guests say the non-smoking spaces are too small, and one reported that a smoking casino’s non-smoking section is still smoky. Heald did not say whether more ships will get these spaces during dry dock, but said he would announce additions. Gamblers who care about air quality should check the ship and sailing date before booking.
