Disney Cruise Line has named a home port and a debut date for Disney Believe. The ship will sail from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades for its maiden season, beginning with an inaugural voyage on December 18, 2027. Bookings for that first season open October 19, 2026.

Announced at a livestreamed event aboard the Disney Dream, the maiden season will consist of four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The Wish-class vessel is under construction at Meyer Werft, carries 2,500 passengers and weighs about 140,000 tons. It follows the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.

Onboard, Oaken’s Table will be a family entertainment restaurant inspired by Frozen, and Sea Notes is a piano bar themed around The Little Mermaid. The largest suite is the two-story Tower Suite, inspired by Magic Kingdom, which has separate living areas and bedrooms and sleeps eight. Public spaces draw on films including Zootopia, Monsters Inc., Tangled, Moana and Inside Out.

Disney sailings tend to fill early, so families who want the inaugural season should be ready when the booking window opens. The short itineraries also make it a plausible long-weekend option for Florida residents, though the date is still more than a year away.
