A Chinese Cruise Line Is Getting a 5,000-Guest Ship Ahead of Schedule

Adora Cruises has published the 2027 Hong Kong schedule for Adora Flora City, the second vessel in its Chinese-built Adora fleet, and the ship itself is arriving early. Delivery is now scheduled for 6 November 2026, ahead of the original timetable, with a maiden voyage from the line’s Guangzhou homeport on 22 November. Hong Kong will be the first port of call.

Flora City is a sister ship to Adora Magic City and carries up to 5,232 guests in 2,130 cabins and suites. In 2027 she will run nearly 20 cruises from Hong Kong, grouped into three windows: late March to early May, late June to late July, and late October to early November. That structure leaves gaps in the calendar when the ship is expected to sail from other bases.

The mix of itineraries leans toward short breaks. Five- and six-day cruises head to destinations including Vietnam and South Korea, while longer nine- and ten-day itineraries explore Northeast and Southeast Asia. Three of the cruises are sea-only, with no port calls. One special departure stands out: an overnight Hong Kong New Year’s cruise on 30 December, designed around views of Victoria Harbour.

For travelers, the practical takeaway is more choice out of Hong Kong at a time when Asian regional cruising is expanding, with Taiwan, Japan and Southeast Asia all adding capacity. A ship this large means competition on price and itinerary length, and short-haul sailings that let city visitors add a few sea days to a Hong Kong stay without flying elsewhere.
