Air France will add two new U.S. destinations from Paris Charles de Gaulle in the spring of 2027. Nashville comes first, with service starting May 14, 2027, followed by San Diego on May 17. Each route will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in both directions, using an Airbus A350-900 with business, premium economy and economy cabins.
The Nashville flights are numbered AF38 outbound and AF39 inbound, covering about 4,372 miles with a scheduled block time of roughly 9 hours 30 minutes westbound and 8 hours 20 minutes eastbound. San Diego is a much longer haul. AF58 and AF59 will cover about 5,698 miles, with scheduled times near 11 hours 40 minutes westbound and 10 hours 55 minutes on the way back.
Neither city will be without European service. Nashville already has Aer Lingus, British Airways and seasonal Icelandair, while San Diego is served by British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa. What Air France adds is a one-stop connection to Paris and its large network, which may matter to travelers heading to France or on to Africa and the Middle East.
The expansion comes as the carrier has recently trimmed another U.S. route, its Paris to Denver flights, a reminder that transatlantic networks are constantly reshuffled. For travelers in Tennessee and Southern California, the practical advice is to watch for fares closer to the on-sale period, since new routes often open with introductory pricing to build early demand.
