When to go

July brings the longest days across the region, nearly 24 hours of light in Lofoten and close to 20 in the fjords, with hiking trails clear of snow and ferries running full schedules. Copenhagen’s harbor water is warm enough to swim from June through August. Book fjord cruises and rorbu cabins well ahead, midnight sun season fills up early.
