Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has entered into an agreement to sell the Oceania Sirena, a 684-guest ship that has sailed for the Oceania Cruises brand since 2016. A buyer has not yet been publicly named, and the sale is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
The ship has an unusually long history: it launched in 1999 as the R Four for Renaissance Cruises, joined Princess Cruises in 2002 as the Ocean Princess after Renaissance’s collapse, and was extensively refurbished before entering Oceania’s fleet as Sirena.
Under the terms of the deal, NCLH will charter the ship back from its new owner and continue operating Sirena’s current itineraries through spring 2028, giving booked guests continuity before the ship formally exits the fleet.
The sale continues Oceania’s shift away from its original R-class ships toward larger, newer vessels in its Vista and Allura classes, as the line increasingly positions itself around bigger, more amenity-heavy builds.
