Treasure Island TI Las Vegas has formally joined Accor’s Handwritten Collection, and in doing so has become the largest hotel in the French group’s global network. At 2,884 rooms, the Strip property dwarfs anything else flying an Accor flag, and it marks the company’s first presence in Las Vegas, a market it had conspicuously skipped while Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt built out affiliations with existing casino resorts. The conversion took effect in early August and does not involve a change of ownership or a closure.
Handwritten Collection is Accor’s soft brand, launched in 2023 for independent hotels that keep their own name and character while gaining access to a global distribution and loyalty system. That is exactly the trade here. Treasure Island keeps its identity, its 24-hour casino and sportsbook, its tropical pool, spa, showroom theatre, shops and its long-running tattoo studio, while gaining the reservation reach of a company with thousands of properties worldwide.
For travelers, the practical change is loyalty. The hotel now participates in ALL Accor, so guests can earn and redeem points on eligible stays and access member rates, something that was not previously possible at an unaffiliated Strip property. Published rates start around $69 a night, which is roughly in line with the mid-Strip market outside convention weeks and puts a large, well-located room within reach of point balances that would not stretch far in most Accor markets.
The property also remains home to Mystere, the original Cirque du Soleil production that has run there for more than three decades and is among the longest-running resident shows in the city. Soft-brand conversions have become the standard route into Las Vegas for international hotel groups, since building new inventory on the Strip is prohibitively expensive and the casino operators prefer partnerships that leave gaming revenue untouched. Expect more of these deals rather than fewer.
