Two of Hilton’s Fanciest Names Just Went All-Inclusive in Mexico

Resort pool and palm trees on Mexico’s Riviera Maya coast

As of October 1, two of Hilton’s luxury resorts on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, officially operate as all-inclusive properties. According to The Points Guy, they are the first Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels anywhere in the world to run that way as their standard model. Both had previously sold all-inclusive packages as one rate option among several, so this makes the format the default rather than an add-on. Reservations made before the change are honored under their original terms.

The Waldorf Astoria has 173 rooms and opened in November 2022. Its all-inclusive rate covers dining at five venues, including Malpeque, Chaya, Peacock Alley, Ja’O and the Pool Bar, plus unlimited premium beverages, an open bar running from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., complimentary activities and fitness center access. Guests who book direct also get airport transfers. The property will also become adults-only on January 10, 2027, a change that will matter to families with trips already on the calendar.

The Conrad Tulum has 349 rooms and suites and opened in January 2022. Its all-inclusive plan covers eight restaurants and bars, among them Kengai, Ukai, Chiringuitos and Arbolea. Stays of four or more nights come with airport transfers and one wellness, nature or family experience. The resort has also added the Ceiba Club, an adults-only section with its own pool, beach and restaurants, so couples can opt out of the family-friendly parts of the property.

For travelers, the practical question is value. An all-inclusive rate at this tier removes the per-drink and per-dinner arithmetic, but it also changes what the nightly price represents. Anyone comparing resorts in the region should check exactly which restaurants, drinks and transfers are in the rate, and whether direct booking unlocks extras. Anyone traveling with children should confirm the adults-only dates before finalizing a stay.
