Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for its 2028-2029 West Coast deployment, and the headline move is a ship crossing the Pacific. Carnival Adventure will reposition from Australia to Seattle for the 2028 Alaska season, running May through September.

Carnival Adventure will operate 18 seven-day Inside Passage cruises with calls in Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, plus longer 9-day and 16-day Carnival Journeys voyages to Alaska and Hawaii. Carnival Legend sails from San Francisco with 10 four-day Baja Mexico cruises and nine 10-day Alaska itineraries that include Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

Carnival Spirit begins with a 16-day Panama Canal voyage from Tampa, then moves to Seattle for 18 seven-day Alaska cruises between May and September. In the fall it shifts to Long Beach for Hawaii and Mexican Riviera sailings through spring 2029, including 3-day, 5-day and 8-day options.

Departure ports span Seattle, San Francisco, Long Beach and Tampa, which makes the schedule useful for West Coast travelers who want to avoid flying to a port. The sailings are two years out, so there is time to compare prices, and early bookings often carry promotions. As with any cruise bought this far ahead, read cancellation terms and itinerary-change policies before paying a deposit.
