Air France Is Sending a Dolly Parton Tribute to Nashville

Paris cityscape with the Eiffel Tower

Air France is adding two U.S. destinations for summer 2027. The airline will fly nonstop from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to San Diego beginning May 3, 2027, and to Nashville beginning May 14, 2027. Both routes will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, using the Airbus A350-900.

The Nashville flight carries a small piece of music history in its flight number. It will operate as AF046, a nod to 1946, the year Dolly Parton was born. For a city built around live music, it is a fitting detail, though what matters most for travelers is that Nashville gets a direct link to Paris rather than requiring a connection.

San Diego, meanwhile, gains a nonstop to Paris and, through it, Air France’s wider European network. The thrice-weekly pattern is the same as Nashville’s, which means travelers on both routes will need to plan around the Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule rather than count on daily service.

Tickets go on sale October 14. Air France plans to serve 20 U.S. destinations in summer 2027, a sign of how aggressively European carriers are chasing American leisure and business demand. Anyone eyeing a spring or early-summer trip to France may want to watch fares when the sale opens, since the new routes are likely to attract attention.
