LOT Polish Airlines resumed nonstop flights between Warsaw and Bangkok on October 7, ending a 26-year gap on the route, according to Aviation Week. The service uses Boeing 787 Dreamliners and starts at three flights a week. Frequencies rise to six weekly from November 2, then drop to three weekly for the March 28 to October 28, 2027 season.
Schedules are built for Southeast Asia-bound connections through Warsaw. Outbound LO65 operates Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, leaving Warsaw Chopin at 3:45 p.m. and reaching Suvarnabhumi at 7:05 a.m. the next day, about 10 hours 20 minutes in the air. Return flight LO66 operates Sunday, Tuesday and Friday, departing Bangkok at 9:05 a.m. and arriving in Warsaw at 3:00 p.m.
The route is part of broader Southeast Asia growth for the airline. Asian Aviation has reported LOT adding Bangkok and Hanoi services, and the carrier has been using Warsaw as a hub between Europe, North America and Asia. For travelers from Central and Eastern Europe, the flight offers a nonstop alternative to connecting through Gulf or Western European hubs.
Thailand remains a top destination for winter sun, and a nonstop from Poland arrives just ahead of peak season. The jump to six weekly flights in November should help meet holiday demand. Travelers should compare prices with other carriers, because a new nonstop often brings introductory fares, but seats at those fares tend to sell out quickly.
