Carnival Cruise Line has added two more adults-only sailings to its 2027 schedule, announced on 14 October by brand ambassador John Heald. Carnival Paradise will run a six-night Western Caribbean roundtrip from Tampa departing 12 February 2027, and Carnival Horizon a six-night Western Caribbean voyage from Galveston departing 13 May 2027. Both sailings require guests to be 21 or older, and the announcement notes a booking deadline of 16 October.
Both visit Cozumel, Mexico, and Carnival’s Isla Tropicale in Roatán, Honduras. Onboard, the focus shifts to adult activities, including expanded casino access, themed parties and bingo. The format, branded SEA Cruises, is aimed at travellers who want a Carnival experience without children aboard.
The program launched in 2025, first on select Carnival Conquest sailings in August and September 2025. Carnival Glory, Carnival Dream and Carnival Paradise offered adults-only sailings in 2026, and Carnival Firenze cancelled a month of regular sailings to run four such cruises from Long Beach to the Mexican Riviera in October and November 2026. The two new additions extend the idea to a Tampa departure and a Galveston departure.
The pattern suggests adults-only departures are moving from a trial to a recurring feature of Carnival’s schedule. Families should check the age rules on any Carnival sailing they book, since the 21-plus policy means children will not be admitted on these voyages, while travellers looking for a more grown-up trip now have more dates and departure ports to choose from.
