Ryanair has now carried more than 3 million passengers at Madeira Airport since it began flying there in 2022, according to a report published October 22. The first service was to Nuremberg, and the airline has since built a base in the archipelago with two aircraft.

The winter 2026 schedule offers 64 flights a week on five routes, connecting Madeira with Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Malta and Poland. Fares start at 24.99 euros and can be booked through the Ryanair app and website.

The report also cites an investment of about 200 million dollars in the local economy, supporting more than 580 direct and indirect jobs. Those figures come from the coverage of the milestone rather than from an independent audit.

Ryanair’s communications director, Jade Kirwan, described the milestone as a sign of continued demand from residents and visitors for low fares, route choice and reliability. For travelers, the practical takeaway is that Madeira has a steady low-cost winter schedule from a handful of European markets.
