JetBlue has added another Colombian city to its Fort Lauderdale map. Daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Cali began on October 15, 2026, flown with Airbus A320 aircraft. Travel Agent Central reported the launch on October 19, noting that it follows the start of Barranquilla service from the same South Florida base earlier this month. The Bulkhead Seat counts Cali as the airline’s fourth Colombian destination from Fort Lauderdale.
Cali is Colombia’s salsa capital and a gateway to the Valle del Cauca region, which makes it a natural fit for travelers visiting family or exploring beyond the better-known tourist cities. Until now, many South Florida travelers heading there would have connected through another city, so a daily nonstop should cut travel time and remove a stop from the itinerary, which matters on a route where schedules and checked-bag handling can be unpredictable.
JetBlue is also using price to draw attention. Introductory one-way fares from Fort Lauderdale to Cali start at $139 in Main and $239 in EvenMore, the airline’s extra-legroom product, bookable on jetblue.com for a limited time. Introductory fares usually apply to specific dates and are limited in number, so it pays to compare against competing carriers, and to read the fare rules before assuming a bag or seat selection is included.
The move fits a broader pattern. Across its network JetBlue already serves Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellín, and the new routes deepen its position at a busy Florida airport. For passengers, more nonstop options typically mean more competition on fares.
