Princess’s Sanctuary Upgrade Heads to Five More Ships, Starting in January

Princess Cruises announced on October 22 that its Sanctuary Collection is coming to five more Royal Class ships in 2027, the first phase of a multi-year fleet modernization. The concept is already on Sun Princess and Star Princess. The first of the new ships is Royal Princess, with a 12-night roundtrip from Sydney to Fiji on January 4, 2027, open for booking now.

The rest follow through the year. Regal Princess gets Sanctuary on an April 17 transatlantic from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton, with sales opening November 5. Discovery Princess starts April 24 from Los Angeles (sales December 4), Sky Princess on May 29 from Southampton (sales December 10), and Enchanted Princess on June 12 from Civitavecchia (sales December 17).

Sanctuary guests get access to the Sanctuary Club lounge, a dedicated pool, upgraded lounge chairs and the Sanctuary Restaurant with destination-inspired menus; shaded cabanas cost extra. Sanctuary Suites add a dedicated concierge and Suite Lounge access. New bookings can include the Princess Premier package, which covers premium drinks, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, gratuities and room service.

Existing Royal Princess guests booked in the Reserve Collection get an automatic upgrade to Sanctuary at no cost, but without the Premier package. Princess has not said whether existing bookings on the other four ships will convert, whether dry-dock time will be needed or what the fares and package prices will be.
