Waikiki’s Sheraton Is Bringing Back a Buffet After Six Years

Waikiki beach with palm trees and ocean

The Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort on Oahu has opened Hinahina on the Beach, an all-day oceanfront restaurant that replaces the former Kai Market and The Edge of Waikiki bar, Travel Weekly reported on October 24.

It serves breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. daily. The resort’s breakfast and dinner buffets return after being absent for more than six years. Breakfast dishes include pineapple upside-down pancakes, eggs Benedict, fried rice and omelets.

Lunch features build-your-own poke bowls, loco moco, burgers and fish tacos, and dinner centers on shareable plates such as giant tiger shrimp with Thai lobster curry sauce. Executive chef Darren Demaya, a longtime member of the resort’s culinary team, leads the kitchen.

The restaurant also offers private dining and event space for groups of 25 to 250. The report did not describe a broader renovation of the property or give prices, so visitors planning a trip should check the resort for current rates and reservation options.
