Explora Journeys’ third ship, Explora III, arrived in Miami on October 25 to begin a winter season in the Caribbean. The deployment runs through early April 2027 and includes cruises from Florida, Puerto Rico and Barbados.

The 922-guest, 72,810-ton ship entered service in summer 2026 and reached North America in late September. Its Miami arrival included a ceremonial plaque exchange attended by PortMiami Director and CEO Jonathan Daniels, MSC Cruises USA Chairman Rick Sasso, CLIA President and CEO Bud Darr, Swiss Consul General Rene Riedi and Captain Pietro Sinisi.

After the winter season, Explora III will sail to the West Coast for Explora Journeys’ first Alaska program.

The fleet is still growing at Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa, Italy. On October 26 the company marked the float out of Explora V and a coin ceremony for Explora VI. Explora IV is scheduled to join the fleet in spring 2027, followed by Explora V later that year and Explora VI in summer 2028.
