Virgin Voyages has cancelled a seven-night Brilliant Lady cruise that was set to depart Los Angeles on October 30, 2027. The line told booked guests the sailing will not proceed because of a private charter.
The voyage was part of the ship’s fall West Coast season and was to visit San Diego, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada on a Mexican Riviera route. In its message, Virgin apologized for the disruption.
According to online reports, affected guests can move their bookings to any other seven-night Los Angeles departure between September 18 and November 13, 2027. Virgin reportedly will honor the original fare and any promotions and add a $100 onboard credit, while guests who prefer not to rebook can cancel for a full refund to their original form of payment.
The cancellation follows an earlier change this month. Because of adverse West Coast weather, the ship’s October 20, 2026, itinerary was rerouted, dropping planned stops at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta in favor of California and Baja Mexico ports, including San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada.
