MSC Cruises is expanding complimentary dining on MSC World Asia, with the free options beginning on Mediterranean sailings from December 4, 2026. CruiseMapper reported the plan on October 31, describing a ship with more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants, including 20 dedicated dining venues.
Those 20 venues break down into five main restaurants, six specialty restaurants, two buffets and seven fast-casual outlets. The complimentary list includes Aqua Food Market with five stalls, a Buffet Grab and Go, Pan-Asian On-the-Go, Promenade Bites, Harbour Bar and Bites, and a 24-hour pizza and burger counter. The specialty restaurants remain separate paid experiences.
The sailings are seven nights and call at ports in Spain, France, Italy and Malta, and they are bookable through November 2028. For travelers comparing cruise fares, the change matters because dining is a major hidden cost on large ships, and a longer free list can shift the real price of a week at sea without changing the headline fare.
As always, the details to check are what counts as complimentary and what is still extra, since drinks and specialty restaurants are typically priced separately. The announcement did not include fare examples, so shoppers should compare full cabin prices, including any packages, before booking. Sailings later in the schedule may carry different inclusions.
