A $3,500-a-Night Tent Is Barbuda’s Early Look at a De Niro Resort

A quiet tropical beach

The Beach Club, Barbuda will open two Nobu-branded luxury tented suites in late December 2026, roughly a year before the full resort arrives. The suites sit on Princess Diana Beach on the island’s southwest coast and start at $3,500 a night plus tax, which covers daily breakfast, beach barbecue dinners and non-motorized watersports.

Transfers are extra. Guests typically fly into V.C. Bird International Airport in Antigua and continue to Barbuda by helicopter, about ten minutes, or by boat. Private-jet travelers can use Burton-Nibbs airport on Barbuda, which opened in October 2024. Whether a Nobu omakase experience is part of the package was unclear in early coverage, so confirm it before booking.

Designed by Luxury Frontiers, each suite has air-conditioning, a king bed, a freestanding soaking tub, an outdoor shower and a private shaded terrace. Booking both gives use of the beach for up to four guests. The property spans nearly 400 protected acres with two miles of shoreline, and the area is noted for exceptionally dark skies.

The permanent resort, Nobu Beach Inn, is slated for late 2027 with 36 bedrooms in 17 single-story villas, plus a beach club, spa, pool, kids club, cinema, tennis and padel courts, and a gym pavilion. Residences start from $12 million. The reporter behind the source article says he has not stayed there, so treat the details as announced rather than reviewed.
