easyJet is launching a nonstop route between Newcastle and Berlin Brandenburg, with the first flight on Friday, November 20, 2026. Newcastle Airport announced the route, which operates on Mondays and Fridays. The Local lists it running until December 21, so travelers should check airline listings for dates beyond that.
The lowest advertised fare is £28.99 one way, subject to availability. Those lowest fares include only a small under-seat bag, while easyJet holidays packages to Berlin from Newcastle include a 23-kilogram checked bag. easyJet says it is the only direct scheduled service between the two cities, and it is the airline’s 10th UK route from Berlin Brandenburg.
The timing lines up with Berlin’s Christmas market season. Newcastle is also growing as an easyJet base: it opened in March 2026 and now has 31 routes on sale, with Copenhagen starting November 5 and Rovaniemi on November 25.
Getting from the airport to the city is straightforward. Berlin Brandenburg to central Berlin takes about 30 to 45 minutes by regional train or S-Bahn, and an ABC-zone ticket is advised. With only two flights a week, a weekend trip is the natural fit, and it pays to book accommodation around the Friday and Monday schedule.
