Hyatt has added Impression Isla Mujeres to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, and the resort is the first all-inclusive property to join that collection. It has dropped its former Impression by Secrets branding but remains adults-only and all-inclusive. The announcement came on November 2 through Hyatt’s newsroom.
The resort sits on the southern end of Isla Mujeres, an island off Cancun, and opened in 2023. It has 123 suites, each with a private terrace. Hyatt lists seven restaurants, five bars and lounges, multiple infinity pools, a spa, a fitness center and a waterslide that leads into the Caribbean, which is a lot of amenities for a property of that size.
Location is part of the pitch. The announcement says the resort is sheltered from much of the sargassum seaweed that has hit other beaches along the Mexican Caribbean, an issue travelers often check before booking. The property also has a partnership with the Saving Our Sharks Foundation, which gives it a conservation angle.
The addition is part of a larger push by Hyatt into all-inclusive travel. The company is preparing its first all-inclusive Park Hyatt, in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, for February 2027. Impression Moxche by Secrets in Playa del Carmen is now the only resort still carrying the Impression by Secrets name. The Unbound Collection marks its tenth anniversary in 2026.
