Adventure Canada Is Taking Its Ship to the Top of the World Again

Expedition ship navigating icy Arctic waters beneath a dramatic sky

Adventure Canada has unveiled an expanded 2028 expedition collection spanning the Canadian Arctic, Northern Europe and Antarctica. The headline additions are new voyages aboard Ocean Victory, along with six returning favorites carried forward from earlier seasons, including the Newfoundland Circumnavigation and Ellesmere Island and North Greenland.

The most ambitious new trip is Northwest Passage: Eastern Gateway, a 13-day voyage with July and August departures. It runs from Greenland’s west coast through Tallurutiup Imanga to Resolute, Nunavut, and the August sailing reverses the route. A separate itinerary, Out of the Northwest Passage, marks the 100th anniversary of the RCMP schooner St. Roch.

In Northern Europe, Iceland & the Faroe Islands: Islands Born of Fire and Sea is a new 11-day voyage from and to Reykjavík that circumnavigates Iceland. Note that the published itinerary lists no Faroe Islands stops despite the title, so travelers should check the day-by-day plan before booking.

Antarctica gets a new offering too: Antarctic Peninsula: An Explorer’s Expedition, an 11-day trip from Ushuaia across the Drake Passage to the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. As with all expedition cruising, daily plans depend on weather, wildlife and ice conditions.
