Delta Air Lines has unveiled what it calls the next era of Delta One, its premium long-haul cabin, and the changes reach well beyond the menu. The refreshed experience launches this fall on transoceanic Delta One routes leaving Los Angeles, with a network-wide expansion planned for 2027.
On the food side, Delta has refined familiar dishes rather than inventing a new menu, including a Wagyu beef burger, a regionally inspired sea bass and a Champagne Taittinger sorbet pairing. The programme draws on more than 700 ingredients and roughly eight million meals a year from 50 international kitchens. The wine list was developed with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, and Delta says it is the first and only airline to serve Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon.
Starting November 3, amenity kits will feature the Missoni Winter Elsewhere collection, along with a wrist strap meant for use after landing and wellness products from Grown Alchemist and Marvis. A Missoni Mini pillow arrives on transoceanic flights, and new tableware includes a custom pepper grinder and a single-serve saucier. Service adds a “sip and settle” moment, with pepper cracked fresh at the table for the first course.
Hardware is changing too. The next-generation Delta One suite debuts on the Airbus A350-1000 in early 2027, and refurbished A330 cabins are already being worked on. Travellers who want the new food and amenities sooner should look at the Los Angeles departures first.
