Oman Air Is Tripling Zurich and Adding a Surprise Stop in Tashkent

Oman Air’s winter 2026/27 schedule begins October 25 with a broad expansion. Zurich capacity triples compared with summer, with widebody aircraft on up to five weekly flights. Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan and Istanbul rise to a maximum of five flights a week, and Moscow doubles to as many as eight.

The network also stretches east. Singapore gets four weekly flights, the first full winter schedule on that route. Tashkent is served twice weekly and Sochi once weekly, while Mumbai and Dhaka each gain a weekly Boeing 787 widebody service. Within Oman, Muscat-Salalah operates up to five flights a day and Muscat-Khasab up to four a week.

Codeshare partnerships widen the reach further. Through Lufthansa and SWISS, travelers can connect via Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich to destinations including Edinburgh, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Bergen, Billund, Gothenburg and Oslo. A deal with Malaysia Airlines adds Shanghai, Beijing Daxing and Guangzhou.

For travelers, Muscat is positioning itself as a connecting point between Europe, South Asia and Southeast Asia, with oneworld recognition and tier benefits for loyalty members of both partner airlines. It is a useful alternative for routings that avoid the busiest Gulf hubs.
