Air France Is Heading to Two U.S. Cities It Has Never Served Regularly

Air France will launch nonstop flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Nashville and San Diego in summer 2027, according to One Mile at a Time, which cited route reporting from AeroRoutes. Nashville service starts May 14, 2027, and San Diego follows on May 17. Both routes will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with Airbus A350-900 aircraft that have business, premium economy and economy cabins.

On the Nashville route, AF38 departs Paris at 2:10 PM and arrives at 4:40 PM, while AF39 returns at 6:55 PM, landing at 10:15 AM the next day. The 4,372-mile flight is scheduled at 9 hours 30 minutes westbound and 8 hours 20 minutes eastbound. Air France would be the first SkyTeam carrier at Nashville, where Aer Lingus and British Airways, both oneworld, and seasonal Icelandair already fly across the Atlantic.

San Diego is a longer haul at 5,698 miles. AF58 leaves Paris at 10:10 AM and arrives at 12:50 PM, with AF59 departing San Diego at 3:10 PM and landing at 11:05 AM the following day. Block times are 11 hours 40 minutes westbound and 10 hours 55 minutes eastbound. British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa already serve San Diego, so Air France would make it a city with all three transatlantic joint ventures represented.

The report notes that Air France recently cut its Paris to Denver flights, and suggests the new routes may reuse the aircraft. The article describes these as the airline’s first regularly scheduled, consistent flights to the two cities. For travelers in Tennessee and Southern California, the service adds a one-stop-free option to Paris and onward connections across Europe and Africa.
