Opus Bay, billed as Batam’s first integrated resort estate, begins opening in December 2026. It sits about 45 minutes by ferry from Singapore, and Hang Nadim International Airport is roughly 45 minutes away. A private ferry terminal called Marina Bay Ferry Cove, a three-minute walk from the hotel, lets guests arrive by water without a land transfer.
The first phase includes the ferry terminal and the Balmoral Tower, a 35-floor hotel with 493 rooms in nine categories from studios to two-bedroom suites. Rooms have private balconies, kitchenettes and washer-dryers, and the property promotes an AI-powered digital concierge. The hospitality concept is called Residence on Opus Bay.
More arrives by early 2027. Cluny Resorts is an all-villa retreat of 57 villas in seven categories, from 169-square-meter one-bedrooms to a 548-square-meter three-bedroom Grand Villa, most with private pools. The Bay Boulevard Marina Promenade adds about 80 stores, dining, a food hall and a supermarket across 10,000 square meters, and a Sports Park offers three padel courts and four pickleball courts.
Nearby attractions include Batam Hills Golf Resort and Saung Budaya Batam within 10 minutes, and Barelang Bridge plus two more golf clubs 25 to 30 minutes away. The report did not name an operating company or give room rates, so check directly for pricing and opening dates by phase before planning a trip.
