Hawaiian Airlines, a brand of Alaska Air Group, is adding two long-haul routes from Seattle in 2027: one to Osaka, Japan, and one to Papeete, Tahiti. Tickets for both are already on sale, so travelers can plan well ahead.
Seattle to Osaka starts May 14, 2027 and operates four times a week all year. Flights leave Seattle on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and leave Osaka on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Seattle to Papeete begins June 11, 2027 and runs three times a week, departing Seattle on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and returning from Tahiti on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Both routes will use Hawaiian’s Airbus A330s.
Hawaiian already serves Osaka and Papeete from Honolulu, so the change gives West Coast travelers another way to reach them without first heading to the islands. For Seattle, it adds Pacific options at a time when airlines are reshaping long-haul networks.
