A Baby’s First Passport Is Now a Holiday Perk

For families with a baby, the cost of getting there can start before anyone books a flight. easyJet holidays has launched an offer, live since October 22, that covers the £66.50 fee for a child’s first UK passport, the same amount GOV.UK charges for the online application. It applies to eligible UK packages booked by November 26, 2026, with travel completed by October 31, 2028.

The details matter. The discount comes off the holiday package rather than the infant’s airfare, and parents still have to submit the passport application themselves. Only one child per booking is covered, and that child must be under 18 months old at booking and under two on the travel date. A second child on the same booking does not qualify.

There are gaps too. The online fee is the one being matched, so a paper application at £80 leaves £13.50 uncovered. The passport itself still needs two identical photographs, the child’s birth certificate, the parent’s British passport and a countersignatory who has known the parent for at least two years. A UK child passport lasts five years.

For parents who were already planning a first trip abroad with a young child, the offer is a small but concrete saving. It is also time-limited, so anyone tempted should check the live terms on easyJet’s family holidays page before booking, since promotions like this can be capped or withdrawn early.
