Royal Caribbean has unveiled its 2028-29 European program, spreading seven ships across the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Canary Islands and Morocco on sailings from 3 to 12 nights. Announcing itineraries nearly two years ahead is common for popular destinations, and it gives travelers who plan far in advance first pick of cabins, though the article does not say when bookings open.
In the Mediterranean, Rhapsody of the Seas offers 7 to 12 nights from Athens, Barcelona and Lisbon, including Turkey and Egypt cruises with overnights in Alexandria and Istanbul. Explorer of the Seas sails from Ravenna with Santorini on every itinerary, and Liberty of the Seas runs 7 and 8 nights from Barcelona, Athens and Rome. Odyssey of the Seas covers the Greek Isles from Rome with Ephesus, Mykonos and Santorini, and Mariner of the Seas adds Palma, Porto and Dubrovnik.
Northern Europe gets two ships. Freedom of the Seas sails 3 to 9 nights from Southampton to the Norwegian fjords, Copenhagen, Bruges via Zeebrugge, Bilbao, Paris via Le Havre and Lisbon between May and October 2028. Jewel of the Seas operates 7 to 11 night itineraries from Copenhagen and Stockholm from May to August 2028, calling at Helsinki, Visby, Gdansk via Gdynia and Klaipeda.
Winter is not ignored. From November 2028, Rhapsody of the Seas plans 9 to 12 night cruises to the Canary Islands, Portugal, Morocco, Cyprus, Malta and Greece. The article does not give a total sailing count or fares, so travelers should wait for the booking launch before comparing prices. With Europe a hot market for cruise lines, early planners often find better cabin choice and flexible deposits.
