United has opened what it describes as its largest club in the country, a roughly 54,000-square-foot space in the new Terminal B North addition at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. It opened October 22 near Gate B11 and runs daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to The Points Guy.
The club is built on a single level with several distinct zones, including a lounger area facing the aircraft and a family section with tiered padded seating and an arcade game. There are 800 seats, 11 private phone booths, family restrooms and a private wellness room for nursing and pumping. A 1,350-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooking the airfield is a first for the airport.
Food and drink lean Texan. Two buffets serve smoked brisket, a chicken chili enchilada casserole, a taqueria bar, biscuits and gravy and tres leches, and two bars include the Moonshot Bar, named for Houston’s space history and stocked with plenty of tequila. Soft drinks, flavored water, coffee, candy and snacks are complimentary.
Access follows standard United Club rules with an eligible same-day boarding pass, through certain United credit cards, one-time passes, paid memberships, Star Alliance Gold status or eligible premium-cabin tickets. United also now sells an individual membership and an All Access tier covering the member plus up to two guests, or an adult and two dependents under 18. As with any big lounge, one-time passes can be paused if crowds build.
