Disney Just Let Four More Resorts Skip Your Baggage Claim

Walt Disney World has widened a perk that many families consider the best-kept shortcut in Orlando. As of October 29, the complimentary Airport Luggage Transfer service is available to guests staying at four more resorts: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, its Gran Destino Tower, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

The idea is simple. Guests drop their checked bags at their home airport, and the bags are delivered to the Disney hotel without the traveler having to wait at the carousel or haul suitcases onto a shuttle. That removes one of the clunkiest parts of an arrival day, particularly for parents juggling strollers and tired kids.

The newly added hotels join a list that already included All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, Pop Century, Art of Animation and Caribbean Beach. Taken together, that now puts most of the Value and Moderate resort tiers inside the program, areas where guests are often watching their budgets and where a free service carries real weight.

If you have a trip booked at one of the four newly eligible resorts, check your reservation details and Disney’s official service page for any airline or timing requirements before you pack. Rules around which airlines participate and how early bags must be checked can matter, and they are worth confirming rather than assuming.
