Hyatt announced on November 2 that Impression Isla Mujeres, a 123-suite, adults-only, all-inclusive resort on the island’s southern tip, has joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The property opened in May 2023 under the Impression by Secrets name and sits at Punta Sur, near a historic sanctuary associated with the Maya goddess Ixchel.
Every suite has a private terrace, and the grounds include infinity pools and private Mayan soaking tubs. Guests get seven restaurants covering Italian, pan-Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean cooking, five bars and lounges and a list of 17 wine labels. The spa adds an island hammam and a floatarium, and Hyatt says the resort is seldom affected by sargassum.
The resort has collected notable labels: Luxury Travel Advisor named it the Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World in 2024 and 2025, and it holds an AAA Five Diamond designation in 2026 and a place on AAA’s 2026 Top 10 Hotels list. A marine conservation tie-up with the nonprofit Saving Our Sharks Foundation directs a portion of room revenue to the cause.
For Hyatt, the move lands in a milestone year: The Unbound Collection launched in 2016 and is marking its tenth anniversary, with Casa Duhau in Mendoza, Argentina, expected to join in late 2027. The resort stays adults-only and all-inclusive and will extend Endless Privileges to members, according to the company.
