Koh Samui Is About to Lose Some of Its International Flights

Bangkok Airways is trimming its international schedule at Koh Samui for the rest of November, according to schedule filings tracked by AeroRoutes. The island airline, which operates its own airport on Samui, is cutting two of its overseas links during the period.

Koh Samui-Hong Kong drops from seven weekly flights to four between November 5 and November 30. Koh Samui-Singapore falls from two daily flights to one daily over the same dates. Both reductions are temporary on paper, though airlines often extend such cuts if demand does not recover.

For travelers, the practical issue is flexibility. With fewer frequencies, a missed connection or a cancelled flight leaves fewer same-day alternatives, and fares on the remaining services can firm up. Anyone holding November tickets on these routes should check their reservations for retimings or cancellations.

Samui remains reachable through Bangkok, which carries the bulk of the island’s traffic, so visitors can still connect through the Thai capital if direct flights are no longer convenient. Schedules can change, so confirm times directly with the airline before traveling.
