Celebrity Is Already Selling Cruises on a Ship That Won’t Sail Until 2028

Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge Series, which arrives in 2028, Cruise Critic reports. The inaugural season runs 2028-29 and centers on seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Miami.

Ports include St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. Across the 2028-29 season, sailings depart from four Florida ports. No prices were included in the announcement as reported.

The announcement also touches existing ships. Celebrity Beyond gets three-night weekend sailings from Fort Lauderdale, and Celebrity Silhouette adds 8- to 12-night Southern Caribbean sailings that include Grenada.

Cruise lines often open books this far ahead to reward early planners, so it is worth comparing the fares to later-season pricing before committing. Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge is quoted in the announcement; check the line’s site for the full itinerary list and booking terms.
