Delta Air Lines is adding a daily nonstop between Austin and Northwest Arkansas National Airport, the gateway for Fayetteville and the surrounding region. Service starts March 7, 2027 from Austin, with the first flight back leaving Northwest Arkansas on March 8. Tickets are already on sale.
The route will be flown by SkyWest on an Embraer E175 as a Delta Connection service. The schedule is built around late evening and early morning. Flights leave Austin at 8:59 pm and reach Northwest Arkansas at 10:49 pm, and the return departs at 6:00 am and lands in Austin at 7:50 am, all in local time.
The new link sits inside a bigger Austin build-out. Delta says it plans more than 70 peak-day departures to about 30 destinations from Austin by summer 2027. That includes new service to Paris and San Diego, a second daily flight to San Jose, California, and year-round Cancun service.
For travelers, the practical appeal is a nonstop option between two fast-growing regions, though the timings favor early starts and late arrivals rather than daytime trips. As with any new route, schedules can change before launch, so book with flexibility if your dates are fixed.
