Pegasus Airlines is planning a trio of new routes from Istanbul to Uzbekistan this winter, according to AeroRoutes, widening low-cost access to Central Asia. All three will fly from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Istanbul-Bukhara is first, starting December 14 with three weekly flights. Istanbul-Andizhan follows on December 18 with two weekly flights, rising to three weekly from March 3, 2027. Istanbul-Termez, in the country’s far south near the Afghan border, begins March 1, 2027 with three weekly flights.
Bukhara is one of the Silk Road’s best-preserved cities, a draw for travelers who want mosques, madrasas and bazaars without the crowds of Samarkand. Andizhan sits in the Fergana Valley in the east, while Termez is an archaeological and border hub.
The additions show Turkish carriers continuing to treat Central Asia as a growth market. Because Sabiha Gokcen is on the Asian side of Istanbul, travelers connecting from Europe should leave generous time to transfer from Istanbul Airport or other gateways, and schedule filings can still change before sales open.
