Celebrity Is Selling Cruises on a Ship Two Years Away

Celebrity Cruises has opened sales for the Celebrity Xcite, its sixth Edge-class ship, which will sail seven-night cruises from Miami starting in November 2028. Bookings are open now, putting the sailings on sale roughly two years before the ship is due to carry its first guests from Florida.

The Miami itineraries will rotate and include Caribbean stops in Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. The Xcite will be a sister ship to the Celebrity Xcel, which entered service in November 2025, so travelers who like the newest Edge-class design will have another Miami option later in the decade.

The announcement also brings two firsts for the line. For the first time Celebrity will sail three-night itineraries on an Edge-class ship, with the Celebrity Beyond running the short getaways out of Fort Lauderdale. That gives travelers a quick option on a ship class normally associated with longer voyages.

Celebrity will also have its first full summer of Southern Caribbean cruises, with the Celebrity Silhouette sailing eight- to 12-night itineraries. Taken together, the schedule shows the line spreading its Caribbean programming across Miami and Fort Lauderdale and across short and longer trips. Anyone interested in the Xcite’s launch season can already view the itineraries and book.
