Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for more than 300 sailings from Port Canaveral between May 2028 and April 2029. Cruise Hive reported on November 5 that five ships will be homeported there: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Firenze, Carnival Festivale, Carnival Glory and Mardi Gras, spread across four ship classes including two Excel-class vessels.

The schedule splits into short and long options. Carnival Glory, with 2,980 guests, and Mardi Gras, with 5,270 guests, offer three-, four- and five-night sailings. Carnival Breeze, at 3,690 guests, sails seven-night itineraries on Sundays, and Carnival Firenze, at 4,126 guests, does the same on Saturdays. Carnival Festivale, still under construction at Meyer Werft in Germany, is scheduled to debut in May 2027 and will offer six- and eight-night sailings.

Over 200 of the departures include a stop at Celebration Key, Carnival’s private destination near Freeport in the Bahamas. Itineraries range from three to 14 nights, and Carnival Breeze has four 14-night Carnival Journeys sailings, departing October 15, 2028, November 26, 2028, January 7, 2029 and February 18, 2029.

Booking this far ahead is mostly about choice of cabin and date rather than finding the lowest fare. Families planning around school breaks may want to look at the seven-night weekend departures first, while shorter trips from Glory and Mardi Gras suit a long weekend. As always, itineraries and ports can change before sailing.
