Eurowings is heading into winter with a bigger Berlin operation. The Lufthansa Group airline plans to serve 38 destinations from Berlin Brandenburg Airport during the 2026/27 season, supported by two additional aircraft, more frequent flights and a mix of new and extended seasonal routes.
The airline highlights Bologna and Rome in Italy, Nice in France, Kuusamo in Finland and Lisbon in Portugal among the places in the enlarged programme. That spread covers city breaks, sunnier escapes and northern winter trips, and gives Berlin-based travellers more nonstop options than they had a year ago.
The announcement came with a broader scorecard. Between January and September, Eurowings carried more than 18 million passengers on about 129,000 flights to over 150 destinations, and reported an 88% average load factor in the third quarter, meaning nearly nine of every ten seats were filled. It also cited a Net Promoter Score of 46.
Not everything is rosy at group level. Lufthansa Group’s wider Point-to-Point segment reported a nine-month adjusted EBIT loss of €38 million as higher operating costs continue to bite. Eurowings is also expanding its premium BIZ Seat offering from 1 December, a sign that the low-cost-style carrier is trying to earn more from each passenger on the same routes.
