El Al has unveiled what it calls its largest-ever summer schedule to the Americas, built around roughly 35,000 seats a week for summer 2027. Every one of those flights is planned on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, a notable detail for an airline whose long-haul identity has long rested on a mixed fleet.
The heaviest growth is on the busiest corridor. Flights between Tel Aviv and the New York area, which includes both JFK and Newark, are set to climb to as many as seven a day, or up to 36 weekly departures. Miami and Los Angeles each rise to nine flights a week, giving the Florida and California routes close to daily-plus coverage for the first time in the plan.
San Francisco is the new addition, starting at three flights a week. The Bay Area has long been a major link to Israel’s technology sector, so a nonstop there fills an obvious gap for business travelers who now typically connect or route through other gateways.
Another report on the same schedule describes it as 63 weekly flights to the Americas in total. The airline has not changed its fares as part of the announcement, and as with any long-range plan, frequencies can be adjusted before summer 2027 arrives. For travelers, the takeaway is more choice of departure times and more seats on a route that has often sold out in peak season.
