Marriott’s Autograph Collection is adding Mereshi Safari Camp Serengeti in Tanzania in November 2026. The camp sits near the Fort Ikoma gate of Serengeti National Park and has 18 elevated tented suites. It is all-inclusive, which for a safari camp typically bundles lodging, meals and activities rather than leaving them as add-ons.
Guests get two shared game drives and guided walking safaris twice daily. That structure matters because safari costs often balloon once drives and guides are priced separately. Upgraded Points reports 2027 rates starting at $1,325 per night, so it sits firmly in the luxury tier despite the tented format.
Points are not yet an option. The report says Bonvoy points bookings are not available for now, although an opening promotion offers 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. Loyalty members who like to redeem rather than pay cash will need to wait to see whether the camp is added to the award chart later.
The property is part of a broader trend of big hotel companies moving into experiential travel in places that once belonged to independent lodges. Travelers weighing a trip should compare it with established Serengeti camps on location relative to the migration, since the Fort Ikoma area sits on the park’s western side, and confirm the opening date, which is stated only as November.
