Egypt will be the Premier Partner of World Travel Market London for the first time, and its Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, plans to attend in person. The trade show runs from November 3 to 5 at ExCeL London, and Egypt has taken part in every edition since the event began in 1980.
The timing comes with encouraging numbers from the British market. Between January and September 2026, 838,000 UK visitors traveled to Egypt, a 9.4 percent increase over the same period in 2025. The campaign slogan for the show is Egypt, Unmatched Diversity.
Fathy intends to use the visit to strengthen ties with British tour operators, airlines and travel companies. The government’s longer-term target is 30 million tourists a year by 2030 or 2031, an ambitious goal that depends on airline capacity, hotel growth and visitor confidence in key source markets.
For British travelers, a closer relationship between Egypt and UK trade partners often translates into more package options, additional flights and promotional pricing, although announcements at trade shows do not always become bookable products. Anyone planning a winter sun or Nile trip can watch for new offers after WTM, and should compare total package costs, flight times and cancellation terms before committing.
