Four Seasons has laid out a 2027 roadmap that reads like a map of where luxury travelers are headed next. New properties are planned for the Dominican Republic, Belize, Japan, Switzerland, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Tanzania, though the company has not committed to opening dates and warns not every hotel will welcome guests next year.
The headline projects include a private-island resort at Caye Chapel in Belize with overwater bungalows and a Greg Norman golf course, and the brand’s first Japanese resort, a 100-acre site on Okinawa’s coast designed with architect Kengo Kuma. Further afield are a 126-acre oceanfront resort in Zanzibar and hotels in Luxor, Cairo, Madinah and Jeddah.
City and heritage addresses are part of the plan too. Berlin’s historic Hotel de Rome is set to become a Four Seasons, the Biltmore Santa Barbara is due to return as a coastal retreat, and the 1910 Hotel Park Gstaad is being redeveloped.
The company says it now operates 140 hotels and resorts plus 61 residential properties in 47 countries, with more than 60 projects in the pipeline. It is also adding Mediterranean and Caribbean yacht itineraries and 21-to-24-day private jet journeys, so the brand is expanding on land, sea and in the air.
