Carnival Is About to Make Your Drink Package Price a Moving Target

Carnival Cruise Line says it will apply dynamic pricing to its drink and Wi-Fi packages starting December 1. Instead of one rate for everyone, prices will vary by sailing length, itinerary and season, a model travelers already know from airlines and hotels.

Today, drink packages range from $6.95 to $69.95 per person per day, and Wi-Fi costs between $20.40 and $25.50 per person per day. A connectivity package for up to four devices starts at $90. Carnival has not said what the new prices will be, so it is unclear whether the change will mostly lower or raise what guests pay.

One protection matters: the company says a purchased package’s confirmed price will not change if pricing is adjusted later. That makes buying early the safer choice for anyone who knows they will use a package, because waiting could expose guests to whatever price is live on a busy week.

In the meantime, Carnival’s FunPacks promotion is still on, priced from $25 to $99 per person per day, but bookings close October 30 and cover sailings from October 31, 2026 through the end of 2027. Cruisers comparing offers should check how the ship’s final package price lines up before and after the December change.
