Four Seasons Just Put a Private Island, Berlin and Okinawa on One List

Luxury beachfront resort with pool and palm trees

Four Seasons has published its development update for 2027 and beyond, naming 13 new hotels and reopenings across four continents. It is a long list, and most entries do not yet carry confirmed opening dates, so anyone eyeing a specific property should check back before booking anything.

The beach and island projects stand out. A new resort and residences is planned for the Dominican Republic, another on the private island of Caye Chapel in Belize, and a third on roughly 126 acres of Zanzibar shoreline. The Belize project is slated to include overwater bungalows, a Greg Norman golf course and a marine conservation institute led by Fabien Cousteau.

City and heritage properties fill much of the rest. Berlin gets a Four Seasons in a converted 19th-century building that once housed a bank headquarters, while The Park Gstaad, a 1910 Alpine hotel, returns after a renovation by designer Joseph Dirand. The Biltmore Santa Barbara and a 230-room hotel in Beirut are also on the reopening list.

Elsewhere, the company is adding hotels in Madinah, Jeddah, Luxor and Cairo, a waterfront property in Jacksonville, and a coastal resort in Okinawa on about 100 acres, designed with architects Kengo Kuma and Kuniken. The update also expands the brand’s yacht itineraries to Egypt and Costa Rica and adds four 21-to-24-day private jet journeys.
