Delta Just Redid Nearly Everything You Touch in Business Class

Airline business class cabin with lie-flat seats

Delta is calling it a new era of Delta One, and the changes reach well beyond the seat. The reworked long-haul business class service launches on flights from Los Angeles in November 2026, with a wider rollout planned for early 2027. Head for Points, which detailed the changes, did not name destinations beyond Los Angeles, so passengers will need to check their own routes as the airline expands the program.

Food and drink get the biggest overhaul. New menus include a Wagyu beef burger, roasted sea bass, braised lamb, beef short rib and a seasonal risotto, developed with British chef Simon Hultstone, who holds a Michelin star at The Elephant in Torquay. The wine program was reworked with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, Taittinger champagne now appears on domestic flights too, and the bar adds Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon plus Dassai 45 sake on Japan flights.

The details you can see and touch are changing as well. There is new tableware, the first refresh since Delta One launched in 2017, and a “Sip & Settle” welcome service with a drink, hot towel and nuts served on a brass charger plate. A Missoni “Winter Elsewhere” amenity kit includes Grown Alchemist skincare and a Marvis dental kit, and a Missoni mini pillow is available on long-haul flights. Slippers, the mattress pad and the dessert trolley continue.

New hardware follows next year. Delta’s incoming Airbus A350-1000 aircraft will carry a second-generation Delta One Suite with a door, in a herringbone layout. Those suites will only appear on new A350 deliveries, so passengers on other aircraft keep the existing seats and receive the new service touches rather than a new cabin. For now, the upgrade is mostly about what lands on the tray table.
